Turkmenistan will host the Third International Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) from August 5–8, 2025, in the Awaza National Tourist Zone, following a resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, Turkmenistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry reported on Monday.
According to report, high-level delegations from UN member states, international financial institutions, and regional organizations are expected to attend. The program will include expert sessions, roundtables, and bilateral meetings involving international specialists, the academic community, and business representatives.
The primary goal of the conference is to enhance the economic potential of landlocked developing countries by improving transport and logistics systems, fostering regional and international trade, and facilitating full integration into the global economy.
Key topics on the agenda will include transport corridors, cross-border trade, energy supply, food security, digital economy development, and climate change.
The international event highlights Turkmenistan’s active and confident engagement not only in regional cooperation but also in addressing global challenges.
