The dock repair of the universal dry cargo ship “Shair Vagif,” owned by ASCO’s Sea Transport Fleet, has been successfully completed.
During the repairs carried out at the “Zigh” Ship Repair and Construction Plant, various works were performed on the vessel, including hull welding, pipe installation, electrical work, and wood processing. The ship’s mechanisms, pumps, windlasses, and capstans were also repaired.
Additionally, the underwater and above-water parts of the ship, its decks, and the covers of the cargo holds were cleaned and repainted.
Significant work was done on the ship’s communication and electronic navigation systems. Specifically, the annual inspection, repair, calibration, and certification of the existing radionavigation equipment were conducted, and several new devices were installed.
After the completion of repairs, the ship successfully passed all necessary inspections and was handed over to the crew.
The first voyage of the “Shair Vagif” after repairs was from Alat to the port of Aktau.
It is worth noting that the vessel is 108.33 meters long, 16.74 meters wide, and has a cargo capacity of 5,200 tons.
