Today, the Port of Baku in Alat hosted a group of international journalists as part of preparations for COP29 Azerbaijan . The visit showcased the Port’s sustainability initiatives and contributions to Azerbaijan’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and the United Nations in Azerbaijan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Journalists engaged with the Port’s sustainability team to learn about its renewable energy projects, biodiversity efforts, green logistics solutions, and the strong public-private partnerships driving these initiatives.
Discussions also covered the Port’s carbon and water footprint reduction strategies, as well as ongoing sustainability and ESG efforts along the Middle Corridor and within the Alat community.
