Strong wind expected in Baku, temperature to drop by 5-8 degrees

The northwest wind is expected to intensify to 15-20 m/s, sometimes to 23-25 m/s, in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula from the evening of September 6 to the morning of September 7, Report informs, citing the country’s National Hydrometeorological Service.

Rain is likely in some parts of the peninsula on the evening of September 7.

Starting from the evening of September 6 in the northern and western regions and until the afternoon hours of September 10, unstable weather and heavy rainfall are expected in the country. In Balakan-Shaki, Guba-Gusar, Mountainous Shirvan, Gazakh-Ganja, Central Aran, Karabakh districts and some areas of the East Zangazur zone, precipitation will be intense, thunderstorms, hail are possible.

The northeast wind will intensify to 15-20 m/s, in some places up to 23-28 m/s. The air temperature will gradually drop by 5-8°.
