Today, Lithuania and Azerbaijan are important transportation hubs, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said as he spoke at the opening of the Azerbaijan-Lithuania business forum in Vilnius on May 22, Sea-News.az uniforms
The Azerbaijani leader said that another important area the business communities of both countries should take into account is the area of logistics and transportation.
“We look at the transportation sector not only as a source of revenues from transit, but an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to establish manufacturing business services on route. Today, Lithuania and Azerbaijan are important transportation hubs in our region,” the head of state said.
He added that Azerbaijan is investing largely into the sea port infrastructure of Baku and in building more vessels which will be able to transport more cargoes across the Caspian Sea.
The head of state noted that this can become an important sphere of cooperation between the two countries.
