“Map of cargo transportation has changed due to imposition of sanctions against Russia, which firstly impacts on export transportation of which share in Kuybyshev railway is traditionally 50%,” said Head of Kuybyshev Territorial Corporative Transport Services Center Igor Khakhulin in his interview with Kommersant, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the Center operatively reacts to the barriers and the North-South crossing, which has not been loaded yet, is prospective enough in this regard.
“Loading may be conducted via ports of the Caspian Sea, especially Olya in Astrakhan Province. Then, goods are sent to Iran which has an access to oceans. There is a variant of delivery of goods to Azerbaijan via border crossings too,” noted I. Khakhulin
