President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York to discuss security issues in the Black Sea.

Sea-news.az reports that this was shared on Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Telegram channel.

During the meeting, security in the Black Sea, particularly how to ensure the functioning of the maritime export corridor, was discussed. According to Zelenskyy, a number of countries across all continents depend on Ukraine’s food exports, and various options are currently being considered for the full restoration of these exports.

Zelenskyy thanked Erdogan for his consistent support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. He emphasized the importance of ending Russia’s war against Ukraine “with dignity and respect for international law.”

The Ukrainian President also informed his Turkish counterpart about contacts conducted with the US side.

The parties also discussed issues on the bilateral agenda, including the creation of a free trade zone and a potential “Drone Deal” agreement project.
