The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning regarding an alleged U.S. military attack on an oil tanker near Iran’s Kharg Island, announcing that all oil-carrying vessels anchored or docked near Kuwaiti and Bahraini ports will be targeted.
Sea-news.az reports citing the Tasnim news agency, that the announcement came directly from the IRGC naval command.
“In light of the U.S. military targeting several of Iran’s oil tankers, we warn all crews of oil tankers within the limits of Kuwaiti and Bahraini ports—whether at anchorages or at docks—to immediately abandon their vessels, as they will be targeted,” the official statement emphasized.
This development follows reports that an Iranian oil tanker was struck and heavily damaged near the strategic oil export terminal on Kharg Island.
