On September 10, the second day of the international conference themed “The Role of Ports in Regional Connectivity and Strategic Cooperation” held in Baku under the framework of CICA (Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia) took place at the Baku International Sea Trade Port.

Sea-news.az reports that the conference featured technical sessions, a site visit for participants to the Baku International Sea Trade Port, and presentations on innovative and sustainable solutions implemented at the port.

An “Innovation in Action” field excursion was organized for attendees, offering a firsthand look at the Port of Baku’s General Cargo and Ro-Ro terminals, alongside demonstrations of its digital management and security systems. Participants were also given the opportunity to explore the operations of the Port’s Control Room and Unified Transit Center.

An interactive session was subsequently held with the management of the Port of Baku, during which discussions focused on port operations, future development prospects, and its strategic role within the regional transport and logistics system.

The concluding part of the event featured a dedicated session titled “Green Port.” This segment provided a general overview of the Port of Baku and highlighted ongoing initiatives to implement “Green Transport” and “Green Port” concepts, enhance sustainable logistics, and improve ecological efficiency.
