MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world’s largest container shipping line, has suspended new bookings to and from Russia’s Novorossiysk port.
Sea-news.az reports that MSC made this decision in the wake of a drone attack targeting the container ship MSC Ulsan III en route to Novorossiysk. The exact date of the incident has not been disclosed.
MSC stated that it is monitoring the situation closely. Until conditions allow for the safe resumption of regular weekly services to and from the Black Sea port, customers have been advised to contact their local Russian agent to explore viable logistical alternatives for import and export cargo.
