The US Armed Forces have organized the covert transport of millions of barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz without any agreement with the Iranian authorities.
Sea-news.az reports that the Axios portal published a report on this matter, citing its sources.
According to the sources, 15 to 20 tankers pass daily through the southern channel of the Strait of Hormuz, located along the coast of Oman. Through this route, approximately 10 million barrels of oil are exported daily from the Middle East, which accounts for about half of the pre-war volume.
The operation is managed by a coordination group of the US Armed Forces in coordination with Washington’s regional partners. Every night, escorted from the air by US Air Force fighters, tankers move according to a designated schedule to carry out oil loading and unloading operations.
A source familiar with the operation stated that the US has exercised full control over the southern part of Hormuz for two months now. Although Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has attempted to create certain obstacles, the transit route through the strait is effectively regulated by US forces.
