The strike hit the “Suezmax” class Greek tanker named Skiros. According to Bloomberg, the attacked tanker had Russian oil loaded on its deck.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) is an international oil pipeline system that transports crude oil, primarily produced from Kazakh fields, through Russian territory to the Yuzhnaya Ozereyevka marine terminal near Novorossiysk, from where it is exported to world markets.
