The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which exports Kazakh oil to the Russian Black Sea coast in Novorossiysk for further shipment to world markets, resumed work on April 11, reads a statement from the consortium’s press service, Report informs.
“After completion of the main work at the CPC marine terminal facilities during the planned shutdown of the oil pipeline on April 11, 2024, oil shipments were resumed,” the consortium said in a statement.
CPC began maintenance and connection of new equipment at the facilities of the Tengiz-Novorossiysk main oil pipeline on April 9, 2024. In this regard, oil shipments at the marine terminal were also stopped until April 11.
According to CPC, such 72-hour stoppages of oil pumping occur at least twice a year.
