We are looking for a “Head of Operations” (only local candidates will be considered) with below requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to corporate strategy in the areas of production, purchase, distribution and supply chain to ensure that the company achieves its short and long-term objectives.
  • Direct and oversee operations staff to ensure that they are motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that core operational functions achieve their business objectives.
  • Develop and control operational budgets to promote profitability and ensure the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.
  • Direct and control production to ensure that services of the required standard are provided to clients within agreed costs and times.
  • Oversee purchasing to ensure that the company has the goods and services required for production purposes within agreed costs and quality standards and at the right times.
  • Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure safe and healthy working environments across all company locations.
  • Maintain working relationships with executive management team to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.
  • Evaluate overall company performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position.
  • Maintain constant communication clients to ensure proper operations of the organization
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
  • Fully Accountable for the Safe Operational Delivery of all offshore and onshore assets
  • Trend MyOsh inputs and communicated to all offshore and onshore assets
  • Encourage and lead by example our approach to Safe Operational Delivery (2019 – 2.7m man hours executed in the BP contract with no DAFWAC/Environmental Damage).
  • Deliver client presentations summarising Operations performance (AAR’s / Quarterly PR’s)
  • Review method statements, risk assessments to ensure they are applicable and appropriate prior to commencement of work.
  • Liaise closely with client where an incident is reported or takes place to maintain and restore confidence and keep informed of progress and action taken.
  • Ensure that inspection and audit plans are followed at all sites and assets.
  • Ensure that client approved work control procedures are strictly followed (including pre-job, briefs, toolbox talks and etc.)
  • Review AMS to ensure working procedures are updated in line with industry guidelines.
  • Communicate industry lessons learned via Altrad and other business networks
  • Review financial statements and data. Utilize financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and control operational budgets. Control inventory. Plan effective strategies for the financial well being of the
  • Monitor and evaluate operations staff performance.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution
  • Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
  • Partner with cross-functional support teams in improving the proprietary tools and systems
  • Work closely with legal and safety departments to make sure activities remain compliant
  • Oversee materials and inventory management

Requirements:

  • Full knowledge and understanding of Group H&S Policy, IOSH certification, discipline safe working practises and COSHH regulations.
  • Extensive operations management experience 
  • Significant industry experience 
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles eg, supply chain, customer service etc
  • Thorough knowledge of the company and its products and processes
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and performance/operation metrics 
  • Excellent inter-personal and negotiating skills
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent decision-making skills
