The 2023 IMO Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday, 27 November 2023, at 5.00 p.m. London time. It will be live streamed at https://streaming.imo.org.
The event will be held at IMO Headquarters in London, and see the presentation of the International Maritime Prize for 2022 and the 2023 IMO Awards for Exceptional Bravery at Sea allmarinenews uniformed.
The recipients were selected by a Panel of Judges, whose recommendation was endorsed by the IMO Council, meeting for its 129th session (17-21 July).
Following the Council’s decision, at its 125th session, the Guidelines for the IMO Award for Exceptional Bravery at Sea were revised to reflect the establishment of the three categories of honour: the Award, Certificates of Commendation and Letters of Commendation. Subsequently, the Council approved the revised Guidelines at its 127th session in July 2022 and, as a result, the name of the scheme has now become the “IMO Honours for Exceptional Bravery at Sea”.
