On July 21, 1902, the Baku Trade Port Authority was established and began to operate independently. However, the historical roots of the Port of Baku go back to the ancient past. Thus, the Port of Baku has been the largest sea gate of Azerbaijan for many years, where countless caravan routes and transport hubs intersect. Today, the historic Port of Baku acts as a bridge between Europe and Asia as an important logistics center of the region.
