Today, a meeting was held in the Port of Baku with diplomats representing 22 countries from different continents of the world, such as Italy, Thailand, Argentina, Russia, India, Ghana, Turkmenistan and others. Diplomats visiting our country were informed about the significant logistical importance of the Port of Baku between Europe and Asia and the results achieved within the framework of the program jointly organized by the Institute of Development and Diplomacy of ADA University and Azerbaijan International Development Agency. It was brought to attention that, the Port of Baku, which is an important part of the ancient Silk Road, plays an important role in the development of the region as a modern logistics center and promises great prospects.
The guests were given information about the infrastructure projects planned and implemented at the port to ensure prompt handling of the ever-increasing volume of cargo. At the meeting, where the mutual cooperation of world ports was discussed, the questions of interest to the diplomats were discussed.
The participants of the trip got closely acquainted with the work process of the terminals of the Port of Baku.
