European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Port of Baku are looking forward to collaborating through the joint projects to support sustainable development targets in the region

Today, the Senior Banker on Infrastructure in Eurasia of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Ms Elena Gordeeva visited the Port of Baku to explore new partnership opportunities. During the visit, the strategic views on the establishment of new cooperation areas were exchanged to launch new projects to support the existing transportation corridors in becoming more competitive, well-governed, green, inclusive, resilient and integrated.

It was agreed that the growth of the Port of Baku in terms of cargo throughput capacity, building new green port facilities, as well as connecting the port directly with renewable energy sources will be aimed at improving the regional sustainable economy.
