Supertanker Vessel Solana, with around 2 million barrels of US oil, has docked at the Spanish port of Bilbao in mid-April, after which he left for Rotterdam and Wilhelmshaven.

Report informs, citing Bloomberg, that this is the first oil supertanker in six years that has arrived from the United States to Europe.

The US oil is usually supplied to Europe on smaller vessels with a capacity of 600,000 to 1,000,000 barrels.

According to analysts, the supertankers will be used more frequently to supply oil from the United States to Europe, as regional customers are searching for an alternative to Russian fuel. One more supertanker is expected in Germany in May.
