The Pioneer Engineering company would like to announce the vacancy for Production Manager ( Machines shop experience).

Key Task:

•           Developing and implementing production policies and procedures

•           Delegating manufacturing tasks so that team can meet production deadlines

•           To manage the efforts of manufacturing workers on the production floor

•           Communicating expectations to production workers and appraises their performance

•           Educating production team members about preferred occupational health and safety practices

•           Establishing priorities to ensure manufacturing team works most efficiently

•           Checking manufacturing equipment and control points to ensure efficient workflow is maintained

•           Addressing production problems as they arise

•           Organizing for the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment

•           To evaluate new production equipment

•           Reporting on team performance to production manager

•           Making recommendations about ways to improve employee efficiency and reduce costs

•           Recruiting, hiring, and training new production workers to perform their duties

•           To Counsel and discipline production employees who fail to perform or violate company policies

•           Implementing recommended manufacturing cost reduction strategies

•           To Nurture cooperation and communication within production team and other department

•           Planning and organizing production schedules

•           Assessing project and resource requirements

•           Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers

•           Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met

•           Determining quality control standards

•           Overseeing production processes

•           Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary

•           Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials

•           Liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff

•           Supervising the work of junior staff

•         Organizing relevant training sessions

Competency:

  • Leadership, Production Experience, Time Management Skills
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations
  • 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
  •  Good Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Problem Solving Abilities, Delegation, Negotiation
  • Ability to Work and Make Decisions Under Pressure, Compassion,
  • Computer Literacy, People Person, Ability to Work as Part of a Team
  • Understanding industry QHSE Standards and certifications
  • High level of commercial awareness to ensure maximization of commercial profitability whilst ensuring subordinates fully understand and comply with company objectives, standards and ethics.
  • Engineering Diploma
