SOCAR New Energy starts supplying LPG to Ukraine on term contracts

SOCAR New Energy, an exclusive supplier of Rosneft’s oil products to Ukraine, has started supplying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on term contracts, Argus reports, citing market representatives.

According to Report, ten Ukrainian companies signed term contracts on the supply of LPG with SOCAR New Energy in July-October 2021.

The first volumes were shipped from Rosneft refineries on July 9. Traders believe that the number of companies that have signed contracts may grow starting August.

Traders expect that under these agreements, in July, Ukraine will receive at least 23-25 ​​thousand tons of LPG, and in August, the volume of supplies will grow to 30-35 thousand tons.

At the end of May, SOCAR New Energy carried out the first supply of Rosneft’s diesel fuel produced to Ukraine.

As reported, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR signed an agreement on the right to export Rosneft oil products to Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic countries, and other countries of Eastern Europe.
