Job Title: Forklift Operator/Labourer
Description
As Forklift Operator/Labourer, you will take a customer service approach with a view that the services you provide are there to support the efficient management of your workspace and site. You will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate and stack equipment and materials. You are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle on site. Your duties will be varied and will include activities that support other departments and personnel, such as cleaning, lifting, moving, and offering general assistance and support to the site team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate designated machine safely and competently, ensuring that all HSE and housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Carry out designated tasks as instructed.
• Load, unload and move equipment and materials using forklift.
• Pull and prepare equipment for shipment, packing and palletising of items for despatch
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Organise and secure stored materials such as boxes and pallets
• Load or unload materials manually, off or on to pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
• Perform routine post and pre inspections to ensure suitable working nature or forklift equipment.
• Report to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.
• Weigh products or materials, and recording weight and further production information on labels and tags.
• Consult, work, and coordinate with supervisors, managers, equipment manufactures, and employees regarding unloading and loading operations.
• Assist in keeping the facility in a clean and safe state at all times.
• Make sure workflow is maximised by moving components to the correct stations.
• Demonstrate awareness of company objectives, policies and procedures.
• Promote and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures without exception.
• Ensure all company policies surrounding, health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met.
• Adheres to inspection criteria, policies and procedures without exception.
• Assist in keeping the facility in a clean and safe state at all times.
• Assist machine operators as and when required.
• Assist Fitting department when required.
• Assist Maintenance department when required
• Make sure workflow is maximised by moving components to the correct stations.
• Assist management team when required.

Qualifications
Experience:
Forklift experience of various movements of pallets and heavy equipment
Manual handling certificate and/or experience
General Labourer experience
Skills, training or special knowledge:
Forklift license
Proficient in written and spoken English
