Armenia planned to disrupt oil and gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Europe and the whole world. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated this.
“We have heard statements from high-ranking officials of Armenia that they will launch attacks on our strategic oil infrastructure, including pipelines and the largest oil and gas terminal in the Baku village of Sangachal. This happened during the July clashes, when Armenia attacked us, 15 kilometers from the gas pipeline, which is supposed to ensure the energy security of Europe. Thus, Armenia was planning to disrupt oil and gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Europe and the whole world, ”he said.
