Orion Group is Looking for a URF Flowline Lead Engineer / Deputy Package Manager

  • To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to H3SE, to implement H3SE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility and to ensure that required H3SE competencies are within his area of responsibilities,
  • To comply with H3SE training requirements for the position. To ensure that safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project,
  • To identify, implement and manage all necessary engineering external studies related to Flowlines,
  • To supervise and control the detailed engineering of Flowlines by timely reviewing / validating the documentation issued by Contractor(s) (technical documentation / queries / derogation requests…), in compliance with General Specifications, Project Contractual technical requirements, and international norms and standards, with the objective to ensure respect of schedule, costs, quality and safety. Raise consequently necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design choices, constructability issues…,
  • To ensure that QHSE issues and requirements are correctly handled and met in all the Flowlines technical documents,
  • To interface actively internally with other discipline engineers (Umbilicals Lead / Construction Lead) and lead engineers as necessary on all engineering, procurement, constructability, commissioning, operability and maintainability matters, in order to ensure consistency of the work,
  • To support technically Interface Engineer, for the management of interfaces with the other Lead Engineers (Receiving Platform, SPS, etc.) and related to the Flowlines,
  • To support technically Contract Engineer (and team) for all contractual issues related to flowlines,
  • To review, approve or comment the qualification and test programmes (test protocols, implementation of results), and to analyse and approve results, deciding on any changes or complement in the program. (Day-to-day follow-up of qualifications and tests is performed as part of the QA/QC Leader’s activity.)
  • To follow and control the supply and procurement done by the contractor; to define the QA/QC programme in coordination with the QA/QC Leader and the procurement leader; to define inspection programmes and organise the inspections at the various locations,
  • To follow-up and control onshore fabrication activities carried out in Azerbaijan,
  • To participate to project reviews as requested by referential (HAZOP, HAZID, SPOT, ODR, PTR…) and prepare or participate in Safety / Technical Audits for his discipline,
  • To supervise and control onshore URF Company Representatives at fabrication sites and participate to the resolution of any related-discipline problem occurring during the Execution Phase, to approve on technical deviation requests and to keep updated the documentation related to his discipline,
  • To participate in the installation, tests, commissioning and handover, assisting the Installation Leader during all the Offshore phases of the works,
  • To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the URF Package Manager (progress, concerns), and, in a general manner, anticipates problems, optimizes, improves, offers solutions with regards to his discipline,
  • To ensure confidentiality of all the Flowlines documentation produced (whatever its support).
