Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) announced the names of winners in the following categories: “Best Ship”, “Best Captain”, “Best Mechanic”, “Best Electrical Engineer “, “Best Boatswain”, “Best Sailor”, “Best Motorman”,“ Best Ship Repairman ”, “ Best teacher ”, and“ Young Sailor of the Year ”.
The best in these nominations were determined according to the rules of the competition, approved by decree of the ASCO Chairman Rauf Aliyev, and the corresponding protocol of the Organizing Committee. The main goal of this competition is to evaluate the work of seafarers who have achieved the best results in fulfilling production tasks and are effectively carrying out work in the field of maritime transport development.

First place winners in each nomination were awarded prizes equal to double amount of their monthly salary, and the second place winners – in the amount of their monthly salary.
Each of the crew members of the “Best Ship” winners received a reward in the amount of their monthly salary, and crew members of the vessels nominated for the second place – in the amount equal to half of their monthly salary.
The winners of the “Best Teacher” nomination were awarded prizes equal to double amount of their monthly salary, and employees receiving the title of “Best Young Sailor” – in the amount of their monthly salary.
