Lapis Lazuli route to transport Turkmen and Afghan shipment to Europe via Azerbaijan

    “Azerbaijan plays a special role for international corridor and routes,” the Director General of the Baku International Sea Trade Port Taleh Ziyadov told the journalists.

    At his words, the Lapis Lazuli route is mostly to transport loads in the direction of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan via Azerbaijan to Europe.

    The Lapis-Lazuli Transit, Trade & Transport Route (also known as the “Lapis Lazuli Corridor”) aims to enhance regional economic cooperation and connectivity between the countries of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, thereby expanding economic and cultural links between Europe and Asia.
