On the initiative of the railway companies of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, and China the first test container train on the route Shihezi-Dostyk-Aktau-Kishly and passing through the territory of China, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, left the Chinese city of Shihezi on July 28.

It is expected that the container train will arrive by ferry in Baku International Sea Trade Port in Alat settlement on August 3 around 10:00.
The train is carrying 82 20-tonne containers with caustic soda.
‘The importance of the train is that the period of transportation of goods from China to the port of Alat will be six days,’ said N.Azmammadov.
