Maritime Blockade of Iran Blocked $25 Billion Worth of Oil Exports

The US Armed Forces prevented the export of $25 billion worth of oil in the 100 days following the reinstatement of the maritime blockade on Iran.

Sea-news.az reports that this was announced by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM).

The command’s statement noted that along with restricting Iran’s oil revenues, the blockade also impacted the financial capabilities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

According to CENTCOM, excluding humanitarian aid, no sea-based import or export of goods with Iran took place during this period.

It should be noted that on July 14, the US Navy reinstated the maritime blockade against vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas.
