The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) tested its “Cham-2.0” ultra-fast, high-precision guided torpedo equipped with artificial intelligence technology on October 15.

Sea-news.az reports this was reported by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

According to experts, the testing of this submarine-launched munition represents an important milestone in the development of the country’s Naval Forces. The key innovation lies in the direct integration of artificial intelligence into the torpedo’s control and targeting systems.

The agency stated that following more than 180 tests, the enhanced propulsion efficiency technology and the power of the drive system were fully verified.
