The number of Kazakh servicemen killed during military exercises in the Caspian Sea has reached 12.
Sea-news.az reports that that this was announced by the administration of Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region.
According to updated information, 17 servicemen were swept away by currents following a sharp deterioration in weather conditions and strengthening winds during the execution of a training-combat mission.
Of these, 12 have died and 3 servicemen were rescued. Searches for 2 more servicemen are ongoing.
