At least 43 people, mostly children, drowned as a result of a boat accident in Nigeria.
Sea-news.az reports citing the Punch newspaper, that the incident occurred near the settlement of Gorau in Sokoto State, located in the country’s north. According to reports, there were over 70 people on board the vessel in total. Sixteen individuals have been rescued, and search and rescue operations are currently ongoing at the scene.
