Preparations Underway For Upcoming Summer Season in Avaza Tourist Zone

The Turkmen citizens will be vaccinated before leaving for Avaza National Tourist Zone.

The Minister of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Emergency Commission to Combat the Spread of Diseases Nurmuhammet Amannepesov in a government meeting on Monday reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the preparations for the upcoming summer season in Avaza National Tourist Zone, Children’s Recreation Centers in Gokdere and regions of the country.

The minister said the sanatoriums in the country are ready to receive vacationers, adding that they are taking necessary precautionary measures taking into consideration the global pandemic situation, the country’s official media reports.

Minister Amannepesov also announced that ministries and sectoral departments issue tourism vouchers for recreation in their facilities on the sea coast.

Before leaving for Avaza National Tourist Zone, the citizens will be vaccinated against COVID-19 in polyclinics at their place of residence. Due to the temporary period of restrictions in Avaza, the vacationers will also need to provide information to the State Migration Service about the date of their departure and obtain permission for entry into the tourist zone.

Special transportation services will be launched for those arriving for recreation on the sea coast.

Focusing on the issues of the upcoming summer holiday season for schoolchildren, the Head of State indicated that attention should be paid to its preparation, to ensure that children spend their free time in an interesting and useful way.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that he will personally take part in one of the upcoming meetings of the Emergency Commission to Combat the Spread of Diseases in Turkmenistan, and get acquainted with reports from the heads of relevant ministries and sectoral departments on the work done in this direction on the eve of the summer holiday season.

Avaza National Tourist Zone on the coast of the Caspian Sea will be open from June 1 to September 15 this year. The decision was made during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held in mid-April.
