The “Dede Gorgud” tanker has resumed cargo operations in the Caspian Sea

The “Dede Gorgud” tanker of ASCO, a company under AZCON Holding, has undergone repairs and returned to service.

During the repairs, the vessel’s underwater parts, superstructure, the machinery in the engine room, and the main deck equipment were cleaned and painted. In addition, all valves were overhauled, while carpentry, hull welding, and electrical installation works were carried out.

New equipment was installed for the vessel’s communication and electro-radio navigation systems. In particular, a fixed MF/HF-type radio station and a signal distributor were installed and commissioned. Malfunctioning components of the gyrocompass, radar, and PA system were replaced with new ones.

The repair works were performed at the Zigh Ship Repair and Construction Yard, after which the tanker was returned to operation.

It should be noted that the “Dede Gorgud” tanker is 149.9 meters in length, 17.3 meters in breadth, and has a deadweight capacity of 13,800 tons.
