As of now, the solar panels installed at the Bibiheybat Ship Repair Yard of ASCO — a company operating under AZCON Group have generated 66,215.3 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity since their installation in October last year, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO).
In may 2025 alone, 18,454.3 kWh of energy was produced. On some days, daily output reached nearly 800 kWh.
These panels have prevented the emission of 65,946.1 kg of carbon dioxide, which is equivalent to the environmental benefit of preserving 3,638 trees. Additionally, 26,457.8 kg of coal have been saved, contributing to reduced reliance on fossil fuels.
Notably, a total of 162 solar panels, each with a capacity of 690 W, have been installed across a 512-square-meter area at the Bibiheybat Ship Repair Yard.
