Orkhan Khalilov Wins 1st Place in International Graduate Poster Contest at 2025 Port of the Future Conference
Orkhan Khalilov, a Graduate Research Assistant and Master’s Degree student in Transportation Management at Texas Southern University (USA), has received First Place in the International Graduate Poster Contest at the esteemed 2025 Port of the Future Conference, organized by the University of Houston and sponsored by the International Propeller Club.
His research poster, titled “Hydrogen-Powered Cold Ironing: A Sustainable Shore Power Solution,” was selected as the top-ranked project among graduate-level submissions from U.S. and international universities. The award was presented in recognition of his original scientific contribution, technical innovation, and alignment with global sustainability goals and U.S. port decarbonization priorities.
