2025 Declared as the «Year of Safe Work» at ASCO

The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) held a “Safety Day” dedicated to the results of 2024.

The event was attended by representatives from all ASCO divisions, featuring presentations by key specialists. These presentations provided a comprehensive report on measures taken to improve working conditions, prevent potential accidents, incidents, and occupational diseases in production.

During “Safety Day,” discussions included workforce data and working time statistics, HSE monitoring results, recorded accidents and incidents, medical reports, identified inconsistencies in structural divisions, as well as changes in the management system.

It was highlighted that regular training sessions and informational-awareness initiatives are conducted to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, employees who have demonstrated a high level of responsibility in maintaining workplace safety are officially acknowledged.

Speaking at the event, ASCO Chairman of the Board Rauf Valiyev stated that 2025 has been declared the «Year of Safe Work» at ASCO. He instructed the development of a comprehensive action plan in this area, the strengthening of control mechanisms, and the implementation of necessary measures based on an analysis of accident causes.

The meeting also reviewed disciplinary measures taken against employees who failed to adhere to occupational safety and technical standards.

In conclusion, ASCO Chairman Rauf Valiyev emphasized the critical importance of workplace safety and urged all employees to strictly comply with established safety norms and regulations.
