Thus, in the last 11 years alone, the number of wheeled vehicles (TIR) transported through the Port of Baku increased by 128 times. While the number of wheeled vehicles transported through the Port of Baku in 2013 was 452 units, in 2024 this figure increased 128 times to 58,169 units.

It should be noted that in 2018, the first phase of the Port of Baku was inaugurated in the Alat settlement with the participation of H.E. President Ilham Aliyev. The Ro-Ro terminal, built as part of the first phase of the Port of Baku, the region’s most modern logistics center, has an annual cargo handling capacity of 1.8 million tons and consists of 2 adjustable bridges. Through these bridges, the process of loading and unloading heavy-duty trucks onto ships is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
