On December 11, 2024, in Astana, Kazakhstan, a meeting was held between the Secretary General of the International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” (the Association), Gaidar Abdikerimov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Kazakhstan, Mr. Sylvain Guiaugué.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues related to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and its integration into the European railway system. The Secretary General of the Association emphasized that the organization and its members are making active efforts to transform the Trans-Caspian route into a modern, competitive, and sustainable transport corridor that will ensure an efficient connection between Europe and Central Asia. The head of the French Development Agency (AFD) representation, Gulnoza Callens, also participated in the discussion.
