Six presumed dead in Baltimore bridge collapse

Initial reports suggest that at least six people are presumed to have been killed by the recent bridge collapse in Baltimore, US, according to NBC News, Report informs referring to TASS.

Jeffrey Pritzker, executive vice president of the Brawner Builders construction company, was quoted as saying that six construction workers are presumed dead. One person survived, he added.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed on March 25 after it was hit by the Dali freighter traveling under the flag of Singapore. Video footage of the collapse was disseminated on social media. After the impact, the bridge spans started to crumble, and the several cars that were on them fell into the water. Maryland Governor Wes Moore declared a state of emergency over the incident.
