Working Group on the Development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) was held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Representatives of shipping, railway, and logistics companies and ports of the TITR member countries attended a two-day event. Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC (ASCO) Farkhad Guliyev chaired the meeting. The participants got acquainted with the report of the Association of Legal Entities of the International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” on the results of activities for 2020 and implementation of pilot projects on the digital corridor along the route during the event.
At the same time, such issues as the protection of intellectual property rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan and other countries, approval of the volume of traffic, tariff conditions and a marketing plan for TITR for 2021, a route development strategy up to 2025, and expansion of activities in the European Union were among the discussion topics.
The importance of effective use of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route potential, as well as ample opportunities for improving the efficiency of transportation and work on mutual coordination, was emphasized.
At the meeting, the participants also discussed the ways to increase the competitiveness of the corridor and overcome possible difficulties.
