“By 2050, 80% of energy reserves will be coal, oil and gas, while there were sayings that coal use will be stopped. Use of coal has quadrupled so far and the mostly used energy means in the world is coal,” Deputy Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Valeh Alesgerov said at the round table held on energy security in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
According to him, using new technologies Azerbaijan will produce more oil and gas from fields.
The deputy speaker added that new fields will be discovered in the future: “There are trillions cubic meters of gas reserves frozen with the water under the ground with the temperature below 0. There will be technologies in the future to use such fields.”
