Italy’s well-known magazine publishes an article dedicated to the Port of Baku
An article about the New Baku International Sea Trade Port, located in the Alat settlement, was published in the “Country Focus” section of the well-known Italian “Atlantis” magazine. Expert Domenico Letizia touched upon the logistics and operational capabilities of the Port of Baku, the contribution of the port to the country’s economy and the region, as well as its contribution to the development of the non-oil sector in the country.
At the beginning of the article, the expert spoke about President Ilham Aliyev’s vision and policy towards diversification of the country’s transport infrastructure in line with modern world standards, and touched upon the country’s transit potential. According to the expert, “The new Port of Baku is an integral part of the international transport chain and has a decisive role in expanding transit capacities of the country.”
In addition, Domenico Letizia has also touched upon the most recent technology applied in the Port, digitalization of the port operations, as well as important steps taken by the Port towards environmental protection. According to author, the new port of Baku operates fully in line with world standards. The article also highlights the international standards such as the ISO 140001: 2005 environmental protection, as well as the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management standard obtained by the Port of Baku in 2018.
