There are no problems with the transportation of water from the Caspian Sea to Iran’s northern Semnan Province, said Isa Kalantari, Iranian Vice President and Head of Department of Environment, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
According to Kalantari, if the environmental factors are taken into consideration carefully and the Ministry of Energy allocates the required amount of funds, then the transportation of water may well be possible.
If this project is executed well, the migration of the local population to Tehran will be prevented, he added.
Kalantari also said that it is being proposed to allocate $150 million from the budget of the next year (begins March 21, 2019) for preventing sandstorms in Iran.
