    Press release of the “International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route”

    The round table “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route –prospects and opportunities for Chinese business” was held on June 29, 2017, in Chengdu, China, within the framework of the 17th International Transport and Logistics Expo(CITLE) and International Logistics Global Forum. The event was organized by the International Association “Trans-Caspian International transport route” (hereinafter –International Association “TITR”).

    The aim of the round table was to disclose the potential of TITR for Chinese business, and provide sustainable ground for developing and strengthening business relations between all the countries along the New Silk Way Route.

    During the round table representatives of the International Association “TITR” in detail presented to the participants – representatives of Chinese transport and logistics companies – current situation and infrastructure capabilities of the route, in a part where the rout is crossing the territories of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and Poland. Much attention was paid to the results of joint activity of all the participants of the TITR project, the creation of all necessary conditions for the full functioning and uncongested traffic capacity of the route.

    At the end of the round table took place a discussion, where all interested in TITR opportunities participants had a chance to put the questions and receive comprehensive answers from all the representatives of the railway and sea administrations (Members of TITR).

    In addition, on the same day, representatives of the International Association “TITR” held the meeting with Chinese Railway Container Transport Corporation (CRCT), which is considered as a leading company in China in the forwarding and logistics fields.  Also, Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Georgian GR Logistics & Terminals and CRCT, initiating the beginning of bilateral relations in the field of container freight railway transportation, including usage of the capabilities of TITR.
