The potential and prospects for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route discussed in Poland and Germany

    The opportunities for the development of through transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route were discussed as part of the discussion session of the IX European Economic Congress Katowice, Poland in Katowice (Poland) on May 12, 2017, with the participation of representatives of the business community, logistics and trade companies.
    Representatives of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Ukraine and other countries took part in the discussion session “Transport Corridor of TMTM and Development of Economic Relations Europe-Asia”.
    During the session, the issues of the multimodal Trans-Caspian corridor as a response to the transport needs of the Asia-Pacific region, as well as Central Asia, the Caucasus and Europe were discussed. Also, the items were described of competitiveness of the new project and potential benefits for the Asian-European trade and economic cooperation.
    Secretary General of the International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” Baurzhan Kulushev announced the prospects and potential of the route and mentioned the growing interest from the transport and logistics companies of Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, the Baltic countries and China, in further cooperation with the Association.
    The participants of the Congress were acquainted with the prospects of development of transportation along the Trans-Caspian international transport route, offering freight transportation to Turkey, Eastern and Southern Europe from China and the Far East Asia region and highly appreciated it.
    In addition, in Munich (Germany) in the framework of International Exhibition transport logistic 2017 on May 10-11, a delegation including representatives of the Association and the International Trans-Caspian Transport Consortium held negotiations and business meetings with representatives of logistics companies on cooperation of using the opportunities of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
